Bastille Bonanza all Saturday afternoon at Ayr Rugby Club Alloway
We had a lovely evening for the petanque on Wednesday but now the only thing in my mind is the Bastille Bonanza - it should be AWESOME! We've loads of really good raffle prizes thanks to generous sponsors, the weather looks like turning out well (shhh!), we've sourced a bouncy castle and beat the goalie, our entertainment programme is looking good and we have some good-quality stalls. Oh yes, there's Nicole's nail bar, Rosie and Carly on face painting and Liz looking after the younger ones in Creation Station as well. Add to that a sack race in real mail bags and a bit of football, not to mention Splat the Rat and hook the ducks - the list goes on! This is an event not to be missed! The Deputy Provost is coming along to open Ayr's first-ever Bastille Bonanza!

Petanque Wednesday 11 July at 6.45 pm
We had four teams for petanque at Ayr Petanque Club on Monday 2 July, despite the moist conditions! As usual, Adrian guided us with patience great good humour. The youngsters, Cara and Vivian, picked it up easily and were soon wiping the floor with us. We're having another go on Wednesday - will you join us? Mail us at ayrtowntwin@live.com if you would like to. See http://www.scottishpetanque.org/clubs.htm for more info on the game.
